so...theres an auction on the 21st..

I'm mulling over either trying to get a group of buttons,

or must keeping my silver pair, and working off of thier eggs, wich are fertile.

the female button has built a nest on the corner of the cage and layed an egg in it, I'm going to see if she will go broody,

but a question, whats the risk of adding new buttons(possibly more males) to a male who already has a girl??, i have seen the damage he's done to her while mating (never SEEN the mating, but I see the wounds) can males kill each other??, and what about females??

whats a good number for a 3ft long, 2 ft wide and 3 1/2ft tall cage??

Roos can kill hens and other roos just like hens can kill hens AND other roos. Just all depends on the birds stress levels and attitude from what i've seen.
