Should I get more?

I was worried as well when we added 1 new chicken to my small flock of 2 (now three)... it took a month for them to get along well. At first, there was a lot of comb and feather pecking, but as long as there is no blood, you shouldn't interfere. The pecking order will always be happening, but not as badly as the first introduction. Make sure you put food and water in different areas so that the dominant hen won't hog all the food. You should let them free range, or have a big pen so that the submissive hens can run away and hide.

I really want to get more chickens as well, but my coop is very small. We'll be building a new one in the spring, a bigger one so we can get more hens!

Goodluck, and do what you feel is right!

Alright. I have until spring to decide. Now I just have the rest of my family to convince (they like chickens, so I don't think it should be too hard). Thanks for the advice.
