should I give Baby girl Valzabanz?too? yall think vet knew what hes doing?

From what I understand, the vet gave a shot of Baytril and sent the OP home with Veraflox, which is the same type of antibiotic as Baytril, Cipro, Marbofloxacin, etc.

so how do I know when she is well? , since diarrhea is a side effect.and that with green poop is er problem.... still has some green poo in the watery thick diarrhea.. when can she go out.. How pray tell me she is well? how can I tell if this is all mostly worms? or both? may get to 60 next week only DAYTIME
though.rest of week 30s and 40s   and lots of chances of rain or snow in between,,,,,   I just hope the other three outside dont have this whatever she has......because Roo in house would go crazy plus us.. and the other two hens are so "touch me nots"
Thanks Yall   ... I hate that spinning color ball that was the cursor  waiting for a page to load , guess My Mac little mini Mac capacity is about full...

Have you given the Veraflox yet? If not, give it as directed. In the meantime, keep her inside where it's warm and try to get her to eat and drink. Treats she might like are eggs, mealworms and crickets.

Im so ticked off knew she had worms. my instincts told me..... VET(here down the road) told his assistant to tell me over phone..... said Capillary ..WORMS worms .( First dang VET WRONG DIAGNOSIS...).
all he could see under micrscope...
Dang vet TUESDay did not even test her stool we had with us...I SHOULD HAVE INSISTED
.Yes a dose yesterday and todayfor the v... antibiotic mentioned earler....
Got Hubby to run Baby Girl diaherre SAMPLE while ago up to vet for a test. THAT vet, that said honestly not familar enough with chickens, Tuesday....but would test a day later and see. But I didnt want to wait cause been gong on so longso that why drove 40 miles to see previous vet practice...
So how long to do Valzavban this time...also got the Safeguard.... 1/2 cc Correct?????
how many days this time???????????
Need to know to get her on ROAD to recovery
thanks yall

How much does she weigh?

The Safeguard dose I use for capillary worms is 0.23ml per pound orally for five days. A one day dose of Safeguard will_not_treat capillary worms!

The Valbazen dose should be no less than 0.08 ml per pound and repeat in ten days. That works out to about 0.5ml (1/2 cc) for a six pound hen.

Well there you go, capillary worms. Give your hen the safeguard liquid goat wormer 5 days in a row. Give her 1/2cc orally undiluted. Give the wormer to your hen each morning before she eats her feed. I recommend that you worm all your birds in the same manner, if one bird has capillary worms, most likely other birds have them as well.
Stop giving her the Veraflox and any other antibiotics you might be giving her.

gave the 3 of thm 1/2 cc and ROO ROO about 8 on that syringe, will repeat it in 10 days. thanks Kathy for the link to how t give orally. Hubby is so good at it....

she still has diarrhea but not as thin. still looks green
constantly wiping up the floor but try to keep her in kitchen with vinyl flooring instead of hallway and LR with hardwood flooring.. I didn't or should say we didnt give the antibiotic....today....... DONT KNOW IF WE SHOULD. She wants to go out so bad....to be with her ROO ROO MAN...she is losing feathers every day I guess cause of its so warm in here .
wish it would stay nice out so she can be a chicken AGAIN. dang temperatures so low esp nites. I hope does not shock her going outside. Im at my wits end..... dont want to harm her with the temperature differences
she wont eat a lot . I gave her a little fish. she barely touched it.. usually goes yaya.... she eats a little egg and will eat her cooked garlic. I have to hold water up to her to get her to drink...
thanks
