Hi everyone,
So I have 3 buff orpington hens, and I just got my first egg this past Sunday. However, I believe that only one is laying as of now. Should I hold off on the laying feed and oyster shells until they all start to lay?

Thanks,
Mike

Just put some oyster shell in a separate dish in the coop. The hens will self regulate. If you got an egg you should put it out. I feed nutrena all flock and offer free choice oyster shell and my hens are happy and lay very hard shelled eggs.

Nope, assuming they are all the same age, you can switch them to layer feed now. Also, you can provide oyster shell in a container on the side, they will take it when they need it.
