Should I help my chick hatch?

Hello this is my first time incubating chicks. I have one that has been pipping (I think that is the term) for 53 hours now. I don’t know if I should assist or just leave it. I’ll attach pictures. It made lots of progress the first 24 hours and now I think it hasn’t changed at all. It seems to be breathing heavy I’m not sure if that’s normal.

Oh dear I’m sorry I am of no help with this since I have only ever hatched once, but I hope my post will bump it up and get others attention! Good luck whatever you decide to do.

I decided to assist after watching numerous videos. I removed just a bit of the shell and it pushed out of the membrane itself after a while. It is doing great now and while I was helping it hatch the one next to it started hatching and is already out. Thank you!

I did!
I started chipping away at its shell and let it sit in the incubator, it came out within 5 minutes and it seems healthy.

This is one thing my wife and I disagree on. I say if it was supposed to make it the chick should make it on it's own, she helps. Guess who wins? 3 guesses and your 1rst 2 don't count.
