I'm turning my eggs by hand, and I wash my hands very carefully before and after I touch the eggs. I lost a few to bacteria anyway. My incubator is new, so that's not it. There are just things that can't be controlled. If you're getting your eggs form a different source, and locally, you just might have better luck.

Well... I set some bantam Faverolle eggs at 12:35am today ..late last night... however you wanna call it.

The mfr'd incubator is doing all the work this time. I let it run for the past 2 days and it was steady the whole time ..99.5F and 40% humidity, give or take a point.

Here's hoping for something better than the last attempt ..some 21 odd days from today!

I just got a call this afternoon ..I'm getting a few more Faverolle eggs tomorrow afternoon!

Funny how more eggs will quickly make the disappointment of a failed hatch go away ...hunh?

I have 10 bantam Faverolle eggs set now ...some Salmons, some Blues and some recessive Blues.

I started turning today ..saving for a turner

..so I guess I'll try candling in a few days. Maybe these eggs will be easier to see into than the green ones were.

All ten eggs are still set ..they all look like something is going on in them ...except two that were kind of questionable, but I'm not certain either way ..so they stay.

Today is day 17 for two of them ..and day 15 for the other 8 ...so I am kind of stuck after today..

I'm a little concerned about the stagger, but it was unintentional and there's nothing I can do about it now.

The temp and humidity has been good all along and I've been turning my fool head off ..hopefully, there will be some little Faverolles by this weekend

I'm on day18 so we may be hatching the same time.

With my first two hatchs. #1 the power went off in march for 11 hours the temp went down to 80, bad hatch. #2 the temp went up to 110 overnight and I didn't see it until morning. DH told me, oh it was that high last night. Is he dumm or what?

I still got 18 out of 40 but I paid a lot for those eggs. I changed the way I did things for the last hatch and got 10 out of 14.
