Oh i wanted to add if the redness is quite spread out by morning I would run to the dr. the bump itself doesn't look bad but the hugeredness around it is what scares me.

In the pic you can see where the scab/wound was.... the fact that its closed itself up and is still red and warm and swelling under the skin isnt a great sign...
You have some infection closed up in there...
I would try to drawling salve to see if it brings it to a head.... if not... the doctor...

Let me introduce you to my neighbor. A sweet lady whose doctors finally gave up after a year of trying and amputated her leg from the knee down. She'd broken her ankle in the chicken yard and infection got in the bone. True, it was a commercial chicken yard, not a backyard but chicken yard germs are the same.
Go to the doctor.

I use the thin lining of the inside of an eggshell to draw out my DH's boils. It's hard to peel off, but it works pretty good. Cover the boil with the skin and then bandage it and leave it over night. Oatmeal works pretty good too. I also have the black drawing salve.

I would use the Ich and see if you can lance it...do yourself a favor...wrap your leg heavily with gauze below the boil so when yo lance it, you get none of the stuff on your skin below it....just in case. If it gets worse after that immediately go to the doc.

Gal...I got 21 days left on this bottle of penicillin and I am not afraid of needles (I just stuck myself in the backside 3 days in a row with penicillin for this stupid sinus infection I HAD). Come on over...I will lance it for you and jab you with a needle of the good stuff

As long as you can handle a harpoon to your butt you will be fine. Short version of the story...went to doc...took his prescription for 7 days and NOTHING...the infection was there and getting worse. So I went to Southern States, grabbed a bottle of pencillin and 4 harpoons...came home and did a small test shot (.2ml) and waited to assure no adverse reaction. The next night and the subsequent 2 I jabbed my backside with 1 ml per night. Infection is gone buh bye. They say it is for animal use only but the ingredients are IDENTICAL to the crap they give to humans in pill form. But I am crazy that way...I am not about to get sick for 6 weeks again and drop down to 81 pounds....heck I am finally back up to 93 lbs and I aint losing any of it so I will risk jabbing myself.
