My little pullet, in the past, has tried to get on my shoulder and my hat (its a Indy style hat), but I haven't let her. I try to set boundaries on where she can sit on my arm and hand so she knows I'm the boss.

I've seen hens put their babies in there place, so I figure the same goes with having one think you're the mother.

my cam is on the frizz right now. but i order a new one friday, so i can snap pictures next week

Another +1 for onethespot -- never let a chicken's beak get within pecking distance of your eyes, especially a roo.

if you wear glasses or sunglasses it shoudn't be a problem. although i had my silly mean roo steal my glasses once. i chased him all around the yard, but had trouble seeing where he was going. he loved being around me and often jumped on my shoulder (which is how he stole my glasses in the first place...rotten little rooster!)

i've got a little 22 day old roo that loves being around me. he'll jump on people if given the chance, but usually on top of people's heads, mainly mine. it is a bit of a problem what with the possible eye pecking, but i've only had it happen to me with high-roosting hens. but i have glasses so they do little damage. i gotta see a picture of him!!!

And what a lovely hen you are!!

I didn't read this entire post BUT, he needs to understand that HE's a part of your harem!

I'm wearing a pair of comfy britches that my birds hate! I've let it be known that "If ya wanna be a part of my flock, you'll deal with them! The "britches" have old school tatoo patterns and the birds just freaked at first. I wear them more often and let them know that "it's just me, with your feed" and they're getting over it, slowly.

I had a silver stud nose piercing fot awhile and they were all ove that. I put them in their places with a quick swat of the hand. Some people may not agree, but I'm the Alpha (period) in my flock!

XD i've always liked to think about myself as their mommy. but even then, i'm still the boss. my little babies are all about my piercings, they like to peck at them alot. now that i think of it, that might not be a good habit XD

they seem to have stopped doing that though, they are more interested in my hands because that's where treats come from
