Should I let my cot hatch out a clutch?

hmmm, how long was she sitting on the eggs before you took them and ate them??

haha, just gotta ask. I usually wont eat any eggs that have been out there more than 48 hrs.

Haha! Well, my kids were nervous, too! I float-tested them for freshness and then cracked each one in a tiny bowl first to see if each was OK.

Didn't want feathers in our omelet. Yikes!

I was always told you can leave fresh eggs (just laid) on the counter for a week and be OK. After a couple of days, I do put them in the fridge. But those are eggs that were never incubated.

I'm not sure I would have eaten them. They might not have feathers yet, but the could be slightly developed. Then again, Filipinos and other Southern Asians eat half developed poultry eggs as delicacies.
