Should I let my geese raise their own or take them away

I have a pair of Toulouse and African geese that are hatching their own eggs. We pull the babies as soon as they’re dry and put them in a separate brooder box and so far all 10 of them have made it. My girlfriend now wants to see if they can raise their own. I am hesitant because I know we’ll have better success rates if we keep doing it. Should I allow all the mothers to try and raise them or is that a bad idea? There are still probably 20 eggs in the nest and if we let them hatch a few on their own I feel like they will abandon the nest before the rest have a chance to hatch. We keep getting more hatching every other day or so and I just want as many to hatch as possible. Anybody have suggestions?

All that I can say is that geese are excellent parents with both the goose and gander caring for the young. If you return the young to them before all have hatched, they may very well leave the nest.

We wouldn’t be putting any back in the nest, we’d just let the remaining ones that hatch stay with them. There’s only one goose to and 3 ganders tho. I will say he’s extremely protective, they ran a fox out of our barn the other day
