Should I slice my grapes?

I don't slice up grapes either. Saw a hen swallow half a burnt hot dog whole from one of our "camp fires" in front of the house once... no idea how it fit or how she did it while running from the others.

I make a point of cutting grapes in half because they get to taste the juice better that way. If I don't cut them up my chickens eat them whole and grape skin doesn't taste like much!

I always throw mine the leftover mushy grapes, on the stem, and they gulp 'em right down! Mine don't like celery, either...when I throw them a bunch of veggies, it's funny how everything else disappears and only the bits of celery are left. By the next day, they'll grudgingly eat it if nothing better appears. Which is exactly the same way that I feel about celery!

well, chickens have been known to eat things people would think they'd choke on but turn out fine

I don't think your over reacting though. It's better to be safe than sorry, so yes, I would suggest cutting up ANYTHING before feeding. Including grapes.

For my larger Hens i usually do not cut them up. The reason being they peck at it and it usually breaks in half. them they all play keep away from eachother. I ALWAYS cut them up for my younger Pullets. They really love this treat!

Chicken's aren't giant, they were just standard production red's. The hot dog was one of those thinner kosher all beef ones that are oh so tasty. So it wasn't too big around, perhaps about 3/4 an inch? I wasn't sure hot it made it down either but they can swallow mice. A video would have been awesome.
