Should I take my friend's chicken into my flock?

Just say NO!! The chicken you see with my post, pretty buff called "Boots" is beating up my other hens. I believe she is going to the Amish for their table. Just an idea.

Thank you so much for the advice. I decided to tell her we couldn't take the chicken. I just love my little ones so much and I can't stand the thought of anything happening to them. I have worked too hard to keep them safe and protected.

Thanks again for the help. Even though I just joined, this board has gotten me through the last ten weeks and I have learned so much! Thanks!

Just remember, when you decide to introduce another chicken into your flock, you stand the chance of introducing illnesses and diseases to your flock. It simply is just not worth taking that kind of chance. Especially for a mean chicken! I've learned my lesson the hard way and would hate to see someone have to go through what I've been going through. IT'S NOT WORTH IT!

Now why would you want to take someone elses problem?

I would take it only to process and eat it, not much you can do with a bird like that.

Heed the biosecurity warnings, it is a serious threat to your flock.
