Should i teach my duck how to fly?

I think you're a sweetheart for thinking about what your bird would want. :~)

The fella in my profile and I would run down a small hill, flapping our wings and having a great time! I was well aware that he was unable to fly but he still enjoyed doing it!
:D thanks ......the hill thing is extremely cute....sounds like you and your birb have a pretty strong bond

Pekins can't fly and he doesn't need to fly. By the way you can't teach them to fly..they know how pekins are just way to heavy to get off the ground. My pekin will try, but yeah...its a fail. It will be better for him to stay on the ground. It will be better for him(not injuries). I am always afraid my pekin will break him legs cuz he always goes crashing to the ground when he will try to fly.

He needs a friend and won't ever fly...:frow
Definitely trying to help you understand...:hmm

Well thanks to both of you....i was asking cus he has managed to fly...so i thought maybe i should teach him but nvm.(he managed to fly 3 meters off the ground once)

They probably all have that instinct to try and fly one of my Runners flew over our fence, but the only way she did that was because she was up behind the house on the hill no way she could do it from the level ground. Like everyone says who has large breeds it’s just to risky for them to fly injuries to their legs would be my concern.
