Should mama duck w/babies be loose with male geese?

I was wondering if someone could help me. I have a small farm with ducks, geese, chickens and guineas. They are all free range and roam our yard and creek. My 2 mama ducks had 16 babies in the last couple days and I am concerned about how the 2 male geese are acting toward the mama ducks. I do enclose the ducks at night and when they go out of the enclosure, the adult geese (one toulouse and one chinese, i think both males) go after the mama ducks, like they are trying to protect the babies. I also have a female toulouse sitting on a nest. Should I pen up the geese for a while or will the geese eventually quit chasing the mamas. I just don't want the ducklings getting hurt. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Hello,
welcome-byc.gif

I do not have any geese, but even the male ducks could get aggressive with the ducklings, so I would be careful. Maybe someone with more experience with geese can help!

I don't have geese either, I think most of the geese people left when the forums were reorganized. I have seen even my other hen duck make aggressive moves toward tiny ducklings. I know we have been warned about duck drakes with duckling, so no way would I trust a Gander. I have a pen I keep my hen and ducklings in except when I have the othe ducks fenced out. That way everyone get some free range time.
