Should my chicks be quite?

I had one with quite a bad pasty butt right from the hatchery. It did take going to the laundry sink and using some mild soap and water to gently loosen it. I kept most of her body dry, of course. I did pat her dry and then use a blow dryer briefly to avoid chilling her. Lol.

So three out of the 4 chicks had some kind of poop stuck to the feathers. All vents were open. I did use Vaseline on the dried poop because I wasn't able to get them moist enough to take off. Should this be ok for now till it lossens ?

I cleaned everything off today. Squeaky clean hopefully it lasts.
