should put a chicken in the same pen with ducks

ok so I got two a chicken their called a black sumarata their feamales should I put it in the same pen were my ducks are their two ducks

Hi Sunshine Ducky,
People advise not to keep chickens and ducks together to prevent disease, however a friend of mine kept chickens and ducks together for years and never had any problem with disease, But in the winter we had to seperate them, because chickens did get a little dirty as ducks are messy animals! haha, Apart from that they both usually did their own thing and never bothered each other, Its when they havent enough space to do their own thing you usually get them fighting.

As long as theres enough space, You will be fine.

I have always kept my chickens and ducks together and have never had any problems. I think it would be fine if you put them together (it just might take a little for them to used to each other though).
