That's sad but all too common I think. The last house we were in was on approx .25 of an acre or so and where we had the corral, the horse was bringin up all kinds of metal and glass. A little scary. And this house is in the burbs. But, after 2 years there is still trash and junk coming up. The neighbors said the same as your trash guy, the owner of the house just threw it out back. YUCK!!

I know the backyard trash bit well myself. We moved in 41 years ago., the last house on the block. All the building garbage from the other homes ended up in our backyard buried under clay and cheap fill. This was also a former quarry area - you can't dig more than a few inches before you hit a boulder. That was interesing enough but the paint cans, glass, broken tiles, asphalt shingles, , boxes of nails etc. etc. are just a bonus. Still unearth crap everytime we plant a bush, bulbs or try and extricate weeds.

oooh you could rent out Diana... I for one would love to find my Grama's celluloid comb that fell out of my hair in the garden 20 years ago.
