Should the pumpkin seeds be cooked?

I get pumpkins this time of year and cut in half and bake them. Then I freeze them in plastic bags for the hens later in the winter when other stuff is scarce. So I think either way is ok. I put the whole halfs in the bag. Skin , seed, and flesh. I give it to them a couple of times a week, if I have enough. Gloria jean

I roast a lot of squash for soups and things this time of year. I scoup out the seeds and ick and give that to my chickens. They pick out the seeds and leave the stringy-icky stuff behind! I put that stuff in my compost heap.
