Should we be worried about a cat?

Oh this wasn't Animal Control...this was considered a criminal matter, and it was the Police, at my door. No shooting kitties for me. I agree it's horribly unfair, especially when I'm throwing out yet another pair of gloves, and whatever produce that was near the big pile of SHHH that their cats decide to deposit in my gardens.

Now, we do let the dogs out when we see a cat in the yard, and they are terrified of our dogs, BUT our dogs our on a wireless fence, and can only go 100 feet in all directions from the house...so they charge, run 'em 100 feet or so, and stop when they hear that beep warning them they're about to cross their boundries. This fence has been invaluable to us...but sucks when I NEED them run off!

There will be many arguments both ways on this issue as always....

It can go both ways with cats feral or pet and I have seen cats kill young pullets and chicks....

If it is not your cat no reason to trust it around your chickens and they cause stress even if not attacking them....
