Well, the heads of household have shot me down (again). They just don't want a rooster I guess.
. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to be extra vigilant when we let them roam.
One hawk question, we live in the woods and have a lot of very tall trees on our property. There's one meadow where the coop is that's surrounded by trees, and the girls like to hang out over there. Are the chances of a hawk attack decreased because of the trees? We also have a 6ft+ wide creek run through our property by the coop so that blocks a lot of land dwelling predators that might come from the woods.
