When I brought home my first pair of peafowl last month, yearling black shoulders, my 3 year old son was so happy. I took him over to their new pen to show him. He looked at them and said, "that's not the kind of peacock I was talking about". I laughed and said he wouldn't have his big feathers, as he calls them, until next year. Every day he asks, "does the peacock have his big feathers yet"? So, I called Doug at D&M and asked if he would be around Tuesday afternoon. I took my boy over and he got to see all his beautiful mature birds and they were really displaying and calling. He wanted a feather and Doug went into the house and brought him out some feathers. Now I have one happy little boy and Doug really made a friend. He wanted to put the feathers in his bed with him but mom talked him into putting them in a flower pot. He likes to take some out and show his big brother and sister his feathers and lets them know that they are his feathers! Thanks Doug.
