Yes he chose Speckled Sussex, but we have yet to find quality birds easy to acquire. And that is a good thing.

This was a great training year with the birds we do have.

Heading to a show in September to see what there is to see. Maybe he will find a little better quality than what he currently has.

Honestly, I'd rather he had to work a bit to get to that level of competition, you know what I mean? I think he is really growing up this year, seeing that it will take several YEARS of effort to get a good reproducing flock. You cannot expect instant results.

4-H Poultry is a great thing.

Are you looking for bantam or large fowl??

Nakin bantams are nice.

Also a practical show breed or a strictly show breed?

Turkens are great also!!
