show me you Blue Laced Red Wyandottes **please**

Splash is one of the colorings of BLRWs.....you got BLRWs. They are like any blue bird. You can get a mix of the different colors depending on what colors the parents are.

So they will still be considered BLRW, that's great!

If you plan on breeding them and want the blue color you'll have to get some blue or black laced birds....breeding splash to splash you will only get splash.

If these are splash then I got when I wanted. I guess I didn't know the proper names, and I didn't know there were so many variations of the same color. I will be soooooo happy if mine end up looking like this. When I heard splash I was thinking like the cochin form of splash.
It's so funny that you should respond to my post because it was your ad for BLRW eggs and the picture in the ad that made me want BLRW. I happend to find some day olds in the Farmers Market Bulletin and snapped them up because of you. Now that I've gone back and looked at your ad you do say they are splash.
Thanks!!!

I'm very flattered that it was my birds that made you want them. I quite love the color and the birds too.

I have a splash roo that is 7 months old his color is not the same as the other roo just to show how wide the splash color runs. I also have chicks hatched 6-2-10 splash and blues pullets

the group in the middle sorry not the best pic on them. Some are darker then they look in pic.

it looks like someone has crossed some goldlaced into your blue laced which is why they are so goldish. hatcheries do this to increase their BLR flocks quickly as blr x gold laced will result in a large number of blr but with poor coloring- the gold turns the mahogany goldish. I am not saying anything about the quality of your birds, just commenting on the color.
your roos color will darken age but they will appear to be more on the gold side then darker red.

I have a couple splash, BLR and buff laced. Your splash chicks are sexable (sex link) when born. My splash roos have a tendance to have a darker head then the little pullets. You've got some sweet babies...makes me wanna

I'd love to see your buff laced since this is one of my project birds.
