Show Me Your Bantam Babies!

We have Dark Brahma Bantams - two pullets and a cockerel hatched last November, and an 8-week-old chick hatched July 7th.

Broody Mama may or may not be the biological mother, but she insisted on sitting on some eggs. She raised two little Rhode Island Red bantams (which we recently sold) and little Mudkip. She is mom as far as anyone is concerned.

Yes, my chickens have the best names. I'm not a chicken namer. They get names if they have something unique about them and they are often descriptive names.

We also have six Seramas (3 cockerels and 3 pullets) hatched April 2nd of this year. Just got our first egg from them - it was tiny. These guys are definitely not a "useful" breed, but I kind of love them.

Cockerel #1 - I think he is my favorite boy.

Gorgeous all of them, boy one is probably the sweetest boy and perhaps he is less dominant then the other two roosters. Rooster 2 I love, bet he is the top rooster! He looks proud and all full of himself. Rooster 3 is second in Dominance with your boy at the bottom of the pecking order but at the top of your heart....we all love the under dog, or perhaps in this case the under chicken. Of course this is all guessing by looking at a picture, so really just me entertaining my mind. Love seeing all these gorgeous bantams, so entertaining and great therapy animals....I know I feel calm and at peace when out with the hens and Roos.
