Yes, i do agree with some of was said to. But i saw a pittie today someone left him in their car and he was jumping at the windows and barking and growling at everyone walking by. And i felt bad no windows were down, he looked very unwell bred and the police did nothing.

I've seen dogs of nearly every breed do that same thing. usually they are really small dogs and go apeshit every time they see someone.

That would rule out pretty much every dog bigger than 40 lbs or so. Pitbulls don't have any special attribute that other dogs don't have. Certainly all three of my dogs would "not be allowed in society". Personally, my solution to the problem would be different, and it would have nothing to do with dogs. I would attribute anything a dog does to the owner. If your dog bites someone and it is unwarranted, the owner would be charged with battery or assault with a deadly weapon. If the dog kills someone, you would be charged with murder. If reasonable but harsh action were taken against shitty owners, these things would be avoided to a great extent.

I think it's also important to keep in mind that the chance of a dog killing a person is tiny. Far more people are killed by bee stings, storms, car accidents, choking on a bite of hot dog, any number of diseases. We are talking about a very tiny percentage of dogs that ever bite anyone, let alone seriously injure or kill someone.

Yes, many dog breeds are capable of this kind of thing. I worded it wrong the first time. What I was trying to say is that Pitbull's are the ones actually doing it. [See links I posted above]

I dont necessarily like little dogs they have to be 30lbs and over for me to really want one, i like to go on 2 mile walks daily, plus running arounf eith my pup now.

your right, not all dogs will do it, but ive seen a very well expierenced dog trainer that had a pit she rescued she knew her history and wanted to try and help her 3 years later she was good, then one dog turned her back to her old aggressive self and thats how she has been since. You cant ban a dog, because even though they say labs or goldens are the best and loyal dogs, i mean my golden is but we had a lab, aussie mix and he got food aggressive over meat and a relative its the second bite and he was gone because we couldnt take it. He went to a good family and he is allword to use his herding ability he has, he is great now, if we knew at the time that it was all because of that one person he would still be here today. Thats a good example of how big one person can impact another dog. If i was given a semi-aggressive dog im sure in 2 months i could easily fix its aggression until it goes back to the owner. Ive done it before, and its amazing to see how many mistakes owners do that cause the dogs to go aggressive. Im gonna go and get a dog training license, ive finnaly found a place. Hopefully people will learn that just because they want a dog, take care of them and treat them right dont make them aggressive.
