Show me your dogs!

My aunts neighbors had two Lhasa Apsos they were twins and looked EXACTLY ALIKE and the owners were mexican and spoke spanish so they only knew spanish commands so if I said come they completly ignored me and then they would say and they would come so easily LOL

My Lhasa is too good to actually obey commands (okay, so I never trained her ... a (used to be) professional dog trainer who never even bother to teach her little dog to sit).

Here's my current crew:

Ricky~ My old guy. I got him at the shelter when he was nine. We got him after one of our greyhounds died (brain tumor). He was a huge comfort for us and is probably the first dog my dh has truely ever fallen in love with. I have had him for a year and a half now so I'm guessing he is about 11. Not sure what month he was born in. He is sporting his summer cut. In the winter he looks like a whooly mamouth. I'm told he is a springer/collie

Dixie~ 2 year old Belgium Malinois. I have had her for a year. After my last greyhound died (bone cancer) my sister's friend asked if I wanted her because he could no longer keep her. Smartest dog I have ever had. She is very obedient and very comical.

Brit~ She is our foster pup. About 15 weeks old. She came from a high kill shelter. Mom was a lab and dad? I'm guessing collie? maybe shepherd? any guesses? Sweetest litttle face ever.

I love this thread!! Everyone's dogs are so sweet....for the most part, I like my dogs more than people. Here is my crew.....

Aussie is a 7 year old "All American" or a Mutt to most people. I adopted him from a shelter as a college graduation present to myself...

Next is Jack Bauer (yes, from 24). He's a 3 year old pitbull. Poor baby has two bad knees and doesn't get around very well.....it's devastating for us because he's so young....he's the sweetest baby in the world.....

Last, but not least, is Copper. He's an Australian Shepherd that we just got today!! Friends of ours had to move unexpectedly and couldn't keep him. He was going to go to a shelter if nobody took him, so here he is.....He's about 6 months old and, so far, a sweet little thing (seriously, he just peed on the floor while I was typing this...gonna have to work on that...LOL)....

Do you know why he suffers from joint issues so young?

Mix some ground flax seed into his food. It's very affordable and it will work wonders. It will help with inflammation and pain. Poor baby. I'm a pit bull fanatic. They are so misunderstood. Don't forget the flax seed. I feed it to all my dogs, but it was originally suppose to be for my chihuahua senior.

aaaawww poor Jack...I know about joint pain...ouch. give him some glucosamine and chondroitin supplement...it will help lube the joint and help protect it from injury. they are both naturally produced in the body and it will lessen the pain he feels.

My little sister has a pittie who is about 15 or 16 months now. He just had surgery on his worst hip at 13 months (they did a TPO, which he was too old for and is not failing). Recovery totally shot the better hip (which was still awful) and now the hip they operated on is popping in and out of place. A couple days ago he tore his ACL. Poor doggie and poor sis.

It is so hard when they have problems so young.
