This is our duck barn and pond.

Quackmire Downs houses 13 ducks on the bottom. Roosts were added to the top at the demands of the 4 hens.

It boasts automatic waterers and a nesting box where the hens actually lay.

An ugly feed shed completes the compound.

Okay was Finally able to upload some pics of the inside of my duck/goose house. since I have 2 drakes and a gander that sleep in this house we made individual rooms inside so the Boys would behave them selves. This kinda shows how it's set up.

if your talking to me I use deep litter, I clean the top poop off throw it into my large bucket for the compost take a pitch fork and turn the bedding every day. then once a week i add a top dressing of new shaving, I only clean out half of the bedding each spring to keep the microbes going for the new fresh bedding that I put in. It very easy and has worked for me for going on 9 years now,

For our chickens we do the deep litter method, but for the ducks I just replace or put an inch or 2 of shavings on the top of the old.
