With all the critters I have it can be frustrating keeping them all out of the emus feeder. i use a deep hook over the fence horse feeder, drill some holes around the edge of the feeder. I take a piece of hog panel or goat panel depending on how spaced the holes are in the wire ( you need something the emus can put their head in but not the goats) , cut a piece to fit over the feeder and zip tie it using the holes I drilled. I then either make a stand with a hang over roof or attach the feeder where water wont get in it. I have also thought about taking 2 horse feeders, using one like suggested above with the holes drilled all the way around, but turning the 2nd one upside down matching the bottom one and then cutting a long key hole at the front edge. Drill holes to match the bottom feeder and zip tie the 2 together, that way the emu can stick it's head in but goats and such can not and my llamas, have narrow faces, won't be able to reach down in it that far and no water gets in either.
