Right now it's barren but we are already planning on this springs planting. I started seeds this weekend and have more trays to go. These pictures are from last year. As a former horse turnout it's nigtrogen rich so we are giving thought to add other types of compost to give it better balance

I LOVE all of your flower gardens and I am very jealous! I can't have any flowers or shrubs around here, every rattlesnake in the panhandle would take up residence in them

I love the flowers at this pond. You can also see a bit of my veggie garden that hasnt been planted yet.

This is my small gardden off the barn. I plant stuff in here that I dont want the chickens to eat.

A new flower garden that I just started last spring.

another new flower bed. I either grew all my flowers fromseed or swapped. not 1 flower in any of my gardens did I pay money for.

I LOVE the picket fenced veggie garden. That was how all the gardens were back in the day. A chicken won't perch on the pickets ...so it is a great deterrent as chickens like to jump up, perch on, then jump down.. .not fly right over.

Thats why I did that. I let them in my garden, but not all the time.
If you can believe it, the pickets are old tongue and groove that we ripped out of the old house and was falling apart. Nothing like recycling. I got the idea from the movie, John Adams!!
