Show Me Your Pallet Projects!

Pics
Thanks!!! That's actually what the kids wanna call it the Pig Palace! Lol

:thumbsup I would give it to the kids and call it the Pig Palace. Maybe even spray paint a "Pig Palace" sign to hang out there. Let the kids help make/hang the sign if they are old enough. Sounds like it was a family project.

:clapYou deserve the win, too. Great job on the build. Send us a picture or two with the pig in the palace if you can.:woot

Tis official!
We have named our little builds.
Pig Palace fell right into place
With the Hen Hut, Bunny Bungalow, and the soon to be Goat Garage!

Well, it's been raining here for the past number of days. So, no real outside work done and nothing new to report on my pallet projects for the past week.

Today, however, the sun is starting to peak out and things are drying up. I went into town and Harbor Freight had some of my favorite pallets that were 8 feet long and 10 feet long, using real 2X4's in those pallets. Probably got enough good 2X4's to make that second raised bed garden for the backyard.

One of the projects I mentioned that is on my short list is a "mobile" pallet wood storage bin for pallet wood. Harbor Freight had their 18 in. x 12 in. 1000 lb. Capacity Hardwood Dolly on sale for $9.99 this weekend.

I will take off these wheels and put them on the pallet wood storage bin. Believe it or not, it costs about half the price to buy this dolly to take off and use these wheels, then to purchase the wheels separately for about $5 each!

I love it when people can see outside the box!! I do stuff like this all the time!!!
I used to buy valentines day candy when it was on clearance for Easter, save some candy back from Halloween for Christmas stockings, buy something intended for one use, use it for something else
I totally would have bought that to use the wheels if it were cheaper than the actual wheels!!!

Gotta love those wheels too... they're nice and strong.

I'm gonna have to see if our HF gives away pallets too. I used to get them from the feed store... they'd deliver them with my hay for $2 each.

When I told hubby I wanted a truck, this what he got me for Xmas...

Not exactly what I wanted 🤣
My oldest has a truck now though so can borrow it for a pallet run or two.😃

:lau At first I was a little confused, because I'm actually going to build a box! A mobile pallet storage bin (box) to hold my excess pallet wood. But thanks for the compliment and not just calling me cheap... Well, I am cheap/frugal, I guess, but I'm OK with it.

Nice to hear other people are also frugal and know how to stretch their hard-earned money.
