Show me your pics of dog kennel runs - and required wrapping

The soil is hard packed. The rain has let up since I asked the question, with just some occasional showers and quick downpours, so the pen looks better. I think it was all of the rain we had that would not let up.

I am really interested to know how the posters of the pens with the arched PVC on top did that, but they seem to be gone or not reading this thread. I think that will be a good solution for a roof.

This looks like they used.

I’m going to pick some of these up this week along with pvc to try it.

We just attached the dog run on to the back of the baby barn. And I ziptied aviary netting to the top of the run.

I thought I’d give an update even though I’m not done wrapping the apron around their run. The heat is unbearable here.
I unroll the hwc so the curled part is arcing up, then I just push it down flat with my hands. I cut lengths of 6.5 feet. I measure 1.5 feet along one edge and placed a 2x4 along that line. I stand on the 2x4 and bend the hwc up using the 2x4 as a straight edge and use a hammer to gently tap the hwc against the 2x4 to form the 90 degree angle to form the apron that will go out on the ground and that leaves 2.5 feet of hwc to go up the side of the run.

This is a manageable length for me to easily handle by myself. My run is 10x20 so that’s 2 pieces for each 10 foot side with enough hwc to overlap in the middle and to extend past the corners by about 1’. If anyone needs it, I can take pictures this afternoon. I attach the hwc to the chain link using zip ties and hog rings and secure the 1.5 foot section with landscape staples.
