Show me your quail pens!!!

Pics
Hey vallyquailbreeder, I tried a new way to attach chicken wire to PVC . . .

Cut your pieces, and lay them sidexside lengthwise.
Overlap the pieces about 2 rows.
Thread the PVC(1/2" works best but I did it with 3/4 too) thru the lined up holes in both pieces of wire.

When you bend the PVC to attach to the wood, it will pull the wire tight.
This gives nice clean and strong seems along PVC, I hate using all my zipties for that and having the wire slide and move.

We raised our quail in cages at first also but after reading some comments, it made us think of putting them in an enclosure where they can actually be on the ground.

Wow! The change is remarkable. The birds seem to be much happier and they love running around on the ground and all the different areas in the enclosure. It is also much easier to feed everyone and change the water.

The enclosure is a 6'x12' dog run. It has a fence top but we also put a tarp on part of the top to keep it a little cooler in there. The temp difference is remarkable with just that tarp.

Hope you like the pictures.

Pictures of our new food and water setup will be coming soon. These pictures just show our old feeders and waterers.

Ok, give me a sec until I figure the images out. I thought I knew what I was doing.
