Show me your quail pens!!!

Pics
Hi, I wanted to build a quail coop with my dad that holds maybe 5-10 adult coturnix quails. Since he doesn't always have a lot of free time I wanted to find a coop that would maybe take a day or two to build. Its really hard to find one on the coops section cuz they are all for chickens and very elaborate. I'd be happy if you guys could posts some pics of easy coops. Would be happy if it was less than 50 bucks. Thank you!

I recently got quail. It is my first time keeping them. I've kept chickens in the past. I'm housing them in an old chicken coop/yard.

I have 4, three female and one male. We're going to get about 15 more in the spring and expand the bottom part of their yard out about another 6 feet long. i'll keep the chicks in the top unused part of the coop ( it opens up and there is wire for good ventilation). They do not go up the latter (it's too steep for them). I have wire buried down over a foot so nothing should be able to get under, so I just leave the birdies out. before it gets cold i will put a little box in there for them. Quail are cool.

So I found this sweet pallet and thought this will make a great base for my quail flight pen. I took half of the coop they were currently in and stuck it in the pen so they could have a place to hide or hang out.

I had to design it with a top that could be raised or lowered so it could fit through my garage door and so I could stand up inside of it.

The main structure is only 5' tall but goes up to over 6' tall.

The base is like 4.5'x7.5'

I hope to put lattice around the bottom to make it look a little nicer.

Yes there are only 5 quail :^( a raccoon raided them and ate 5 before they moved into their new home so my flock is looking a little sad. Also why the coop needs to fit in the garage.

Ok so I'm going to attempt to get the photos up.

Wow these are really nice...keep em coming...my problem is that I have to build something for my button quail, but it gets below freezing here throughout the winter. I have heard that buttons are not cold hardy. I'm thinking of putting a cage on the straw in my chicken coop, it usually stays above freezing in there.
I keep button quail and my winters are not nearly as cold as yours but I do supply those disposable heat pads underneath the bedding in some of the hiding huts. My pen for them is basically a chicken run with a roof and the bottom part of the structure has a 5 inch wall so they cant see the outside. aside from that its all netting and wind can pass through it. I also dont keep my quail on wire bottom they have access to the ground to forage and what not. They stay healthy as long as the floor is clean.

Im getting my very first Quail eggs soon to incubate and raise. I'd love to build something like this in prep for them but don't think I have the time needed. Do you have plans for it, or wood measurements or anything??

I call this photo Before the First Drop Falls. There are many details included on My BYC Page, under "coturnix-quail." I have 10 jumbos that are 2 weeks old, and 24 that are 4 weeks old. I may move the older ones to the new pens this weekend, depending on the weather. This is my first try at raising quail.

I showed the pattern to some quail keepers I know and they told me it would probably be best to make about 3 or even 4 levels because of quails "flushing" and hurting their heads. Have you had any of that sort of trouble with yours??
