Show me your quail pens!!!

Pics
What is the size of this cage and how many will it hold? Do you happen to have any drawings or specs of this cage? Thanks

Mine is 3ft long 25 in wide and 11 in tall and for now I only have two girls but I'm adding a 13 in tall "basement" area with a ramp up to the top where I will keep huts for them to hide in but will put the food and water in the bottom I will soon be adding 3-4 females and a male do you think this will be enough room

I just built this breeder pen. I'm just getting into chickens and quail. My plan is to get a male and 3-4 females right now and start getting egg layers. Then once my chickens are ready to graduate to the coop use the brooder/grow out pen to hatch out a bunch of quail eggs.

Here is a link to my quail breeder pen.

You should use 1/2" x 1/2" for the pen. The rats able to squeeze in my pen 1/2" x1" and kill my quails.

Good morning. I like your pen.... I have built several similar over the years. If you have trouble finding someone to cut your tin, Home depot sells galvanized duct work that can be cut with tin snips and hung with hog rings. I stacked three similar cages with rabbit pans under each. I found with coturnix the pine horse pellets about a half inch deep in the bottom of the pans made my life simpler and my shop a nicer place to spend time... ;-) I made a rack out of 2x2" for inside and then a "condo" outside with a roof so i could have the option of moving the whole cage outside when the occupants were of age..... worked out well. I ended up opening up the smaller pens to larger ones thou. I found i just didnt need more than 3 quads to keep me and friends in eggs both for eating and hatching..... This is the outside version of the "condo"...Pens on both sides.. The pens like yours just sit on the 2"x2" stringers and can be removed easily. The water system, while great for me. Didnt work out great.... I didnt feel the birds drank enough in the hottest weather so I abandoned it. BTW, I have used this for cots, butlers and chukar too Good luck!

Thanks!! I've almost decided to use campaign signs cut down to size for dividers. I feel like it will be just as effective.

Since the bottoms of these pens are sloped - exactly how did you mount these? Can you get a close up picture of that? What did you use to catch droppings?

Thanks again for the reply - very informational.
