Show me your rabbit colony hutches

Haha. Super entertaining running in circles with random rather uncoordinated bounces. mine get excited about their greens in the morning and they have a mezzanine shelf that they use like a racetrack.

View attachment 1160696 Not sure if this is what you're looking for but here's my setup (shiny new at that point). Top row for the breeding trio 30x36x24" each with a 12" shelf - they really seem to enjoy the extra height.
Bottom row two grow out cages for males and females. Mezzanine shelf all the way around for the bunny 500 every morning
Do you happen to have pictures of building this setup and any of the cages that you built?

We've just entered into this obsession as well, and for the Holland Lops we went with 30x30x18 cages for singles, and 30x36x18 for grow-outs. They're stacked 3 high, because we're short and any higher we'd never be able to get rabbits in and out. For the Netherland Dwarves we're doing 24x24x24 cubes. with 30x30x18's for grow-outs. We have a Chinchilla colored Rex doe and an Angora / Lionhead hybrid doe that are just pets and not breeders, and they're both in larger 36x30x24" cages because they need more room. All 1x2" mesh, with 1/2" square mesh on the floor, and half the cage floor covered in plastic mats we got at the dollar store. Plastic trays are the best things ever! :)

Couple caveats. All of ours are inside for now. It's far too hot in AZ to leave rabbits outside in the summer. We're going to build a fully enclosed shed over the winter with power, running water, and A/C. Basically 3 walls of cage grids and the fourth wall will have the door, sink, storage, etc.

Sounds like a big obsession lol I'm picking up 4 rabbits tomorrow along with 4 cages and 2 hutches. I was thinking of going with all 30x36x18 cages just because it's all the same and I don't have to worry about running out of grow out cages or anything like that. Could you post some pictures of your setup?

You have NO IDEA how much my wife has gone bunny nuts. :) Will have to grab a few, but sure. :)

This is by far the easiest way I've kept rabbits. My only problem is the roof leaks big time, so it gets muddy when it rains.

Here are the 30x30's just as we started cleaning yesterday ( so no mats in them). 24x24's are identical.

Top to Bottom:
Angel: Blue Tort
Radar: Black Tort
Squiggle: Broken Tort.

All Holland Lops.

You can also see the 30x36's to the side there. We have Netherland Dwarf and Holland Lops in those as well. The one on the bottom has 3 of our Dwarf bucks in it. They get along pretty well so we've not had to separate them yet.
