Show me your Runs!...please 😇

Here are a couple pictures of the run. The roof is just a couple sheets of plywood. Total covered secure run is 8'x12' including the area under the coop. The run roof is flat, so, we remove the snow after storms. The side pop door allows the girls access to a fenced area. That is currently closed, as we recently lost one to a hawk.

Mine's fully covered with painted metal roof. Stays very cool
in summer and provides lots of shade. I don't have to worry about
snow. It's 18x28 and fully predator proof. I keep food and water in
it 24/7

Very nice. How do you get grass to grow in there? Are your chickens in there all the time or do they free range as well?

The grass is totally gone. They ate it a long time ago.
I keep it mulched with grass clippings and leaves. I'm in the city,
so the run is their "free range." The pop door stays open so they
can come and go as they please. Roosts and nest boxes are
inside the coop.

Mine is very “plain Jane” in comparison.
No roof, just 5’ fence. We later added fencing to the top of the gate to keep turkeys out and chickens in

Work in progress...we did have just a 4ft hwc fence with T posts and wire roof but a clever racoon managed to climb in and get between the wire in the roof and fence. This one will be fully framed with a tin roof. 9x12 7f high on the tall side and 6ft on the short side (crawling into the old run was not good for the back). Hopefully will have it done by the end of next weekend.

I can't believe how many posts I missed!!! I have got Z E R O notifications all these runs are beautiful in their own right! So diverse! I'm thinking to myself how many lucky Birds there are

I'm just irked that I haven't got any notifications

Here's ours, first winter. I learned this winter that I need to add more support for the run roof. It never collapsed but sure was saggy under snow load.
