These came from the same hen- love how the RIR bloom makes it pink (?). It is not an illusion- just super adorable- so I guess not ugly. But a local here said 'whats wrong with your chicken!? why is it pink?'

I have RIR pullets that just turned 4 months. They haven't started lay yet, but now I'm excited to see how mine turn out. My two older pullets are mixes and lay small to medium brown/tan eggs.

Ooo, I'll have to grab a picture of my duck Reggie's next egg! Her eggs legitimately look like they're filthy. The first one we found we assumed had been next to the pond for a few days unseen by us, they're all just colored like they're urine stained and splotchy.
