Show me your ugly yards & coops

Peeps, love the plank. I was contemplating one last week.

LOVE IT.
See, that's where i'm coming from too. I feel like it was just so thrown together that I didn't do the things that could have saved me aggravation in the long run. Too late now!

Here's ours for now. For the past year we've used a dog kennel for the coop. We have all 3 sides tarped (insulated tarp) and we have a tarp as a roof on top of poultry wire. This year we sloped the roof. There are perches on the inside as well as nesting boxes. When the area they are in gets too wet we just move the kennel.
We recently acquired a shed and will be starting the process of reassembling it in the next week or two. That will be there coop for the winter and the dog kennel will be the run. They free range during the day except for one it rains or snows.

Good thing it's too dark to run outside and take a picture. Ours looks like a tool shed covered with tar paper that got torn in the move here. The hen house was given to us... It is on the project list to get a window, air vents and outside access to boxes but that's for another day

The yard is attached with 8 foot fencing and a roof to keep out owls and such.. size wise it's about 12 x 16 ft, no grass and with the rain today.. getting muddy. Hubby did purchases siding to attach and paint but it has to get from leaning up against the barn wall to attached to the hen house. My flock only numbers 8 but they can do some major scratching & digging.
