Treated 2X4's and hardware cloth, makes a very strong door and simple to make that is what I wanted...simple.

Here's my door before it was stained/sealed. I used 2X4's then 1 X 2's on the inside over the hardware cloth.

we decided to go with a solid plywood door . it is the same design and color as our shed doors.

Wow! What a lot of nice pictures! Hadn't checked back for a while. Will go out and take a pic...my coop and yard are ALMOST set up...just need that dang door, electric wire, top netting, and bottom mesh along the ground. Also a skirt for the bottom of the coop...but that can wait until winter is neigh.

Still haven't decided on door design!

Used a store-bought coop, locust posts, 1/2" hardware wire, and stainless screws and washers. We have a LOT of predators.
