Show me your..............

These have been kept in waiting for many years (we have another set just like this one if we should 'happen' to get more chickens

). Vintage nesting boxes that need a good cleaning and the roost boards fixed up. We also saw a fixer upper set of these nest boxes (nearly identical to ours) for sale at a local antique mall the other day.

No outside access on these - we will gather the good ol' fashioned way... but hey, they will be easy to install. Good luck with yours!

I'm going to assume that ALL these pics were taken before chickens moved in... there's NO POOP!!! or dust!

haha somebody mentioned poop & dust -well here you go! My girls love their converted dresser nesting box. My grandkids love to gather the eggs...the boxes are easy for them to reach

We just got the nest boxes installed this week ~ but the younger girls are not using them yet. My new coop is split into 2 sides with seperate runs for 2 flocks. Ameraucana cockerel, 3 Ameraucana pullets and 6 Olive Egger pullets on one side and a bantam cochin cockerel with a BLRW, frizzle bantam cochin, light brahama and EE pullets on the other side for now.
The nest boxes are painted a hot pink "oops paint" I picked up at the hardware store. There is vinyl on top for easier cleaning.

Here is my 12 x 7 chicken kennel...it's not lop-sided--I am! I currently have 7 hens & 1 @%$# rooster in it; plus the get to free-range for a few hours a day.

Here are the 'nest boxes.' I'm not done, still need to put up a ledge on the fronts.

They seem to prefer the top nest box...
