Show Off You Ameraucanas/Easter Or Olive Eggers!

I can see your handsome man! What striking coloring!!

This is my girl Kiwa laying her first egg yesterday!
She has olive green legs & I heard the leg color tells you what color egg she'll lay. But her egg is the most surprisingly beautiful pale blue/aqua color.:love

Thank you!! ☺️ I think he's a pretty boy, even if he is an ass.

I think Kiwa and her egg are both lovely!! And wow, that egg is good sized too, it seems a good bit larger than the light brown eggs my little BSL girl lays. I hope to have a pastel egg layer some day.

Egg pics are welcome. And Greybeard looks like a true blue Ameraucana. Blue wheatens looks almost identical to wheatens, just with a bit of blue on them

Thank you for the info! I wondered because I thought maybe they weren't considered "true blue" if they have any brown at all on their feathers.

I just found this tread I love these birds they are my favorite. I jumped through hoops to get mine. I made several mistakes trying to find pure breed Ameraucanas it took some time and I got some good EE's out of it. So now I have EE's and Ameraucanas even got A few bantam Cochins in my search for the kids. The first set of pics are EE's and the second will be

Welcome!
They all look so sweet!! The first one in particular has very similar coloring as my girl. I don't see a lot like her

Where did you end up getting the true Ameraucanas?
And curious to know if there is any difference in egg color between your EE & Ameraucanas.
I want to know for next year when I graduate chicken math from addition to multiplication. ;)

One breeder I got the lavender girls from and A different breeder I got the black ones from. Mr Smith actually mails eggs to hatch and has A way to ship chicks but not sure to OR. Also this helped me I had to do A little traveling but it was worth it http://ameraucanabreedersclub.org/ and http://ameraucanaalliance.org/

The EE's eggs show green more than blue and the Ameraucanas are blue even on the inside of the shell. If you are wondering if you have EE's or Ameraucanas crack A egg open and see if the shell is blue on the inside if it is any other color besides blue it is A EE I thought that was pretty cool
