Which would be the best bet Self Blue x Brassy or Blue Splash x Brassy to achieve the Blue Brassy

Which are you wanting to get? Self Blue (lavender) and Blue Splash (andalusian blue) are two completely different genes.

If you are wanting self blue brassy backs, (these would breed true once you get them established), you would use the Self Blue x Brassy, and follow the proper breeding regiment from there.

If you are wanting BBS brassy backs ( which would be easier and shouldn't dilute the brassiness) they, would work just like any other BBS colored breed (you could get blue, black, or splash, depending on how you cross them) and you would use a blue (or better yet, a splash) X Brassy, and work from there.

I was told i could only use a "sport" to get Blue Brassy i have never found one of those? or seen one?

By "sport" I'm assuming you mean a splash? I'm not really sure what goes into making to brassy part, but you should be able to get it, the way I just told you.

Would these same combinations work on Modern Game I"m very interested in these and want to breed them?

The combinations I talked about above would work with MGs too.

I only have 2 pairs i got at the show Lemon Blue Splash and the other is Brown Red I'm hoping to get some very nice Lemon Blue Moderns from crossing these.

I don't have any knowledge or experience with the genetics of those colors.​

Heres our sweet boy Fred... we have no idea what he is... all we know is he was going into someones pot so we couldnt help but bring him home and boy are we glad we did.... we just love the pieces out of him, all 7 lbs of him!!!


Edit to add: Anyone want to take a stab at what he might be?? lol We shall never know

Barred x Porcelain this will be experimental at best my porcelain came from a Mille Fleur background.

Looks like I'm in the Market for some Barred need to make some calls

I would also like to breed some of the Buff Barred Cochins is that Buff x Barred to get that?
