Im from Georgia too!

On my roo, Rareroo, its funny you say that because the 2 girls I got with him look like RIRs. One has a few "mottled" tips on her feathers and the other has the crele/BR coloring on her neck. If its ok with the OP ill put up a pic of the girls to (possibly) confirm.

I have also seen hens from that cross before and what you described with the one with Crele/ Barred neck coloring sounds exactly like what you would get with that cross. Your pretty close to to a standard sized crele bird there if you want to breed for it, if you cross him back to RIRs, you should get the same color.

There are a few more Georgians that come to mind as well.

baragin
(Nancy) is up in Bowdon, she is the one that introduced me to BYC.

and cuddlebears51 (Kristi) is down here in Douglas, I went to her place a few weeks ago to get a SLR Wyan. roo.

And Sorry to the OP for our off topic posts, we're kinda going back and forth here.

For those that are interested in other Georgians... there is a "Yo Georgians" thread somewhere

Rareroo... I will be hatching eggs from them in the spring... I might even try to get some RIRs to breed to him. I would love if I got babies just like him... both the girls and him have the sweetest temperments too!
Here are his girls..

Oh, well those aren't quiet what I talking about, those look wheaten based, the ones I was talking about look more greyish, or the color of Golden Cuckoo marans. Yours could be crossed with a wheaten colored hen istead of a RIR maybe? I really like those hens you have, it will be interesting to see what hatches from them. Keep us updated please.

gosh!!!! I've been interested in getting some regular black shoulders, I have no idea what those you have look like, I guess I'll see them when I come. Are they old enough to show their colors.

Getting their trains on right now, some are older breeders and some are 09's though
