Any idea how to cull for quality birds at the 5-7 week stage? Or is it too darn early to make any guesses as to how they will turn out.
I have 14 (hopefully) pullets that are 4 weeks. I need to sell off 10 and keep 4 for my boys to show in 4H. There are a lot of variations in these young birds.
My boys are having a blast watching them and taking care of them!
These are my BA/RIR mix they are much bigger now and I will find some recent pics if these load. I know these arent very good pics but will get some that are once I know I can load them
Here are my BAs. Penguin in front and Olive's butt in the back.
Penguin went broody and wouldn't quit so I gave her a couple of chicks to raise. The BR is definitely a pullet but I am concerned about Puffin, our BA chick.
What do you all think?
pullet or cockerel?
8 1/2 weeks old.
