So precious! So many beautiful chickens, ducks, babies!I'm on chicken cuteness overload! But, I really need to at least post Pippi Longshot, who has most recently stolen my heart. She was a lone hatch Buff Orpington on Saturday and is holding her own with 3 Lavender Orpingtons who are about a week older than her.

This was Saturday shortly after hatching.

This is yesterday with her brooding mates. She has found a spot of sunshine to bask in. The Lavenders are Alice, Cindy and Belle.Smitten by all of them.
I think the longest I've traveled to get birds is 175 miles. So um... what's the longest you guys have traveled to get birds?
I'm contemplating driving 53 miles, 12 hours, one way to get some magpie Muscovies for my breeding project.Waiting for pictures of said ducks to see how good they look. If all goes well, I'll pick up a few others on the way back too.
Thanks, that made me feel a little more sane. Haha!I think the longest I've traveled to get birds is 175 miles.
Go for it. Good birds are worth it!![]()

Breeder said she'd take pic's when she got home, but haven't received any yet. Hopefully she hasn't forgotten...The other one's going to send pic's tomorrow. Crossing fingers at least some of the birds look nice!
