Are cochins nice if they turn out to be roos? My 2 littles (5 wks old) are still too small to tell, but I LOVE them so much!

I've heard nothing but good things about Cochin Roos. Thats why it was the breed I picked to get for my girls who need some boys to watch out for them. I think so long as you raise em right then they are great boys not so pushy or outgoing as a RIR can be... My uncle had one of those. Beautiful bird but he'd go after anyone who got within 5ft of the hens... and the Cochins I've met were jst so sweet and just sat on my lap! My boys were timid when i first got them but they are starting to like me more every day! They just have to figure out how to discriminate treats from my fingers. The girls were the same way. and now that they are outside and im not reaching down at them in the brooder they like me a whole lot more! not to mention I usually bring treats when i show up

I'm thinking I have a chicken math problem...I would like to build a small coop and run this winter and get some bantam cochins next spring. Raising these chicks was so much fun I just can't imagine not doing it again! The 3 cochins in my little flock have figured out that I'm "safe" meaning that I will make sure they get treats when I'm there no matter who wants to push around them.
