And another thing if You have any kind of chickens layers to gamefowl don't associate yourself with the peddlers that have pens and birds in shit conditions which usually go hand in hand and don't let just anyone on your property no brag to just anyone. Im gonna irritate some people with this but oh well.
All the people ordering chicks that receive dead birds, dying etc are directly responsible because they ordered them and had them shipped. Call it it what it is. They are responsible because they are the ones ordering the birds. If there was no market it wouldn’t happen. I have no problem with it but I find it interesting to see a poster complain about killing a bird, dubbing or whatever yet they conveniently forget about the 6 dead chicks that wouldn’t have happened had they not ordered them. They wouldn’t have had to endure the shipping stress and fluctuating temps involved.

Lock up birds in small pens 24/7 stepping in their own crap, drinking dirty water, bumblefoot etc.. Hens ripped to pieces because they’re afraid to cut a spur.
Provide artificial lighting to keep them laying year round (not too far off a battery hen) then complain when their insides fall out onto the ground. I think some people should do a thorough check of their own stuff before they pass judgement on others.
