You also have to take into consideration that these guys that made these names with fowl were testing, culling, hacking and showing many times a month when it was legal. You can't do such these days and be open about it and not many would risk it when Gamefowl that already exist come in many flavors that are still winning.

I suppose if you find enough people that are interested in some kind of egg color fad out of gamefowl. So far the two people that I see interested in it are far behind the power curve. So I don’t see it happening.

You can breed it down as far as you like it's still there and will show its face for better or for worse eventually just like the truth.

Open your mind and think of what can be... You think blue gamefowl just popped out of nowhere? Someone took the time to selectively breed them and test them. Same could be done with blue egg gamefowl.

My minds open if you ain't testing and that would take a lot of culling on top of the rest to make sure they were actually game then you wouldn't get anywhere besides words and those don't count for much.

It's hard enough to keep the wheels rolling let alone reinvent em.

I admit it probably wont be done. I dont plan to do it and its not something that people would strive to get.... colored fowl are popular because its easy to see... blue eggs is something you'll only see back at the farm when hens are laying.. not very exciting.

Just seems like a waste really you would go backwards just to get egg color and then hopefully get back to at best average fowl probably still very cold after a decade plus then start looking for above average.

I personally Wouldn't give up gameness for anything let alone eggs. And you seem stuck on talking about blue well some are junk they look good for a bit then run for momma and haven't been done justice. While some are still winning in almost every style and all around the world. I've been a Mac mug fan before I joined here and they come in all colors hatch, black, Pyle, splash etc. I found great blacks right here on this forum and I got me some Mac blood which is still as strong as always after 50years I'm proud to own both and sure wouldn't want to chance turning them into garbage.

Agree. I just brought up blue fowl because we all familar with them. They were at one point probably a joke to serious gamefowl folks. But time has proven them wrong.

Some people like maintaining what works already. Some people like creating new things.

I personally like creating. I like failing and learning from it and then trying again.

Metaphor alert!!!! I would never buy a McDonald's franchise. I would rather build up my own hamburger restaurant, even if it doesn't perform well at the start. I would keep working on it and maybe one day it'll be some great hamburger empire (or not),... either way it would be mine and I would own it.

How many GF have you culled/killed? There’s no chance you’re gonna do it without tracking breeding perfectly and culling all but the absolute best.
