Show Off Your Games!

It's been awhile since I've asked about these. They are now 3 months old and hopefully old enough now to determine breed and gender. I'm thinking they are mixed, but mostly Thai blood. What do you think?

I think this first one may be a male. He has lots of green irridescence and his comb is a little redder than the others, though it doesn't show in the pictures:

Feather-wise, I don't see a difference in the first one and these other 2. Any guesses as to their sex?

I have the space where I could keep the hens as well as the boys all in their own shelter. As I understand these birds have been raised for generations staked out, so Im sure that would be ok. I really like the size of the Aseel I don't think a small one would do. Its the size that really attracted me to start with, that and I know I may get in trouble for saying this here.. but.. there is nothing more beautiful then a rooster, and a rooster thats got his feathers ruffled is something to behold. These are pretty birds. have raised many types of chickens over the years and never given a game a try. I would like to. I have no idea where to get good ones, or when I have a hatch where to sell them. I just know, Im almost 50 and this is on my bucket list.

I have a question on the toppy gene I have hen that is a toppy and the rooster is a hatch/aseel cross will all the offspring comeout toppy? the reason I ask is I would like to breed him to 2 hens at the same and this would make easy as I could tell the difference by physical appearance.

The first is a stag, certainly. Females cannot carry the red on the shoulder like that.

The other two I'd probably also pin male, but I'm not 100% sure.

Nice birds though everyone - Can't wait to receive my Shamos. I'm so excited.

From what I have seen of the toppy gene (which isn't much) it is dominant. It won't be as prominent as a pure toppy, but it will have a topknot. If you're worried about it, you could always separate the two hens and swap the rooster back and forth over them, mark the eggs(if using a incubator), then mark the chicks?
