Really like this guy... I like the first picture especially.
Look at sdm111's avatar. His bird could be called a grey. Greys, when on the wild-type (black-breasted red with duckwing) color pattern, can come in two forms. The first is silver duckwing where all color that is red or brown on a wild-type bird is nearly white. The second is golden duckwing where reds of wild-type bird are replaced with a blondish color and the deep red to brown of the shoulder and often back is reddish-orange. The former is homozygous for the silver gene while the second is heterozygous for it. The silver gene or locus is on the Z-chromosome which means males can have two or one copies of it while females can have one or none. The silver gene can impact reds and browns on many other color patterns as well.Gotta ask... what are greys?

I see guys on Craigslist selling 'Gilmore Hatches' that are spangled.. The spangling is very subtle and they maintain the typical black red coloring.
